National Criminal History Check Processing. A service delivered by Strategic Outcomes.
Name Check is authorised to undertake national criminal history checks for employment purposes on behalf of persons wanting to obtain their criminal history.
There are two ways in which Name Check processes criminal history applications:
Client Staff Processing
Name Check authorises client staff members to undertake 100 point identity check of applicant documentation. Applicant fills out and signs criminal history application form for submission by Name Check to the NSW Police for processing.
Name Check Onsite Processing
Name Check attends client site to process one or more criminal history applicants. Name Check undertakes 100 point identity check of applicant documentation. Applicant fills out and signs criminal history application form for submission by Name Check to the NSW Police for processing.
How long Does it Take?
Name Check will advise client of applicant’s criminal history status, usually within one to two weeks but may take longer if enquiries are made interstate.
Why Use Name Check
Either processing method saves hours of client time as applicants are otherwise required to individually attend the nearest Police Station to their home address.
Not all police stations are capable of processing criminal history applications and many only have specific days and times that they will process applicants.
The process takes on average a half day for the employee to be processed.
Checking process can be used by client Human Resources department to check other employee records such as address, home telephone details, undertake credit checks etc.
